Gyri Village - Zante Zakynthos Greece
Gyri village is the highest village on the island at 550 m above sea level and offers spectacular views. Located in the middle of the island, a village has been here since the 15th Century.
Gyri offers stunning mountain scenery, rich with wildlife and tranquility - the only sounds being the sweet melody of birdsong. Near Gyri are the unexplored Hagioti and Black Caves.
Gyri is a very tranquil village, as the whole of the west coast of Zante is rural and undeveloped; the ideal place to visit to feel at one with nature, escape crowds and the stress of modern life.
