Agios Leontas Village - Zante Zakynthos Greece

Agios Leon is a pretty mountain village, on the unspoilt west coast of Zakynthos. The village is named after a Bishop of Catania in Sicily, who when canonised became Saint Leon, and a church was built in his honour in the village in the 14th Century.
Another chapel is to be found in the village, which is unique on the island as its bell tower is housed in a windmill.
There are a handful of shops in this quaint village which is easy to drive too and provides the chance to see some beautiful scenery on the drive there.
