There is bus service available for almost every destination in Zakynthos as it has a good network of roads that covers the entire island.

The central bus station (KTEL) is located in Zakynthos Town on the road close to the hospital (Mothonaio Street) and is a brand new building with a ticket office displaying prices, departure times and destinations, a cafe, snack bar, press and souvenir shop.

Local bus tickets are also available on the bus.

Buses from Zakynthos Town travel locally to:

Argassi - Xirokastelo - Vassilikos - Porto Roma - Tsilivi - Planos - Tragaki - Kipseli - Alykanas - Alykes - Katastari - Orthonies - Anafonitria - Volimes - Exo Hora - Kambi - Agios Leon - Agios Nikolaos - Machairado - Galaro - Gyri - Keri - Agalas - Lithakia - Laganas.

Buses going to the mainland, to the cities of Patras, Athens and Thessaloniki are also available.

There are daily bus services from Athens & Patras (Zakynthos Bus Service - KTEL) to the port of Kyllini, on the Northwestern coast of Peloponnese.
