Laganas is the largest and liveliest of the island's resorts located on the south coast of Zakynthos. It is also home to the national marine park where the protected species of loggerhead turtles (Caretta-caretta) come to nest.

Just 100m from the resort centre, for sunbathers the sandy, gently shelving beach sprawls for three kilometres and is one of the best on the island. Also you can take a turtle-spotting boat trip from here.
Laganas has a good selection of shops selling clothes, souvenirs, jewellery, leather goods and countless bars, nightclubs and restaurants which offer traditional Greek, English, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and Canadian cuisine.
