Established since 1978, the Pylarinos Family was one of the first to open a taverna in the area of Alykanas and since then their reputation for good quality food and service has grown.
Alkyonis Taverna is named after a woman who mythology says was turned into a bird, as a punishment by the ancient Greek Gods, because she and her husband claimed the love they shared for each other was greater than that of Zeus and Hera.
