Located on the Southern Western coast of the island and tucked into the corner of Laganas Bay is the pretty fishing village of Limni Keriou (Keri Lake), the waterfront harbour of the mountain village of Keri.
From the shingle beach there a lovely view across the bay to the Vassilikos peninsula and the golden sands of Gerakas beach. The waterfront is dotted with tavernas, shops and bars. The small harbour shelters local fishing boats and day trip boats that offer trips to the stunning Keri Caves and the little island of Marathonisi (Turtle Island).
A stroll down the side streets takes you past accommodation and houses scattered amongst the olive groves. A short drive up into the mountain brings you to Keri, a quaint old village that still has some Venetian buildings that survived the 1953 earthquake.
