In an outstanding Mediterranean landscape of 6000sqm of olive groves situated near the traditionally built village 'Tragaki' only 300m from the most beautiful beaches of the island on the east coast of Zakynthos stands the country farm of the 'Kouros' family, which consists of 5 individual traditionally stone built country houses and the harmonious farm.
High standard hospitality meeting the needs of 'today' with respect to 'yesterday'.
A combination of yesterday's beauty and simplicity with today's comforts.
The land was cultivated for eight generations before coming to the ownership of Helen (the granddaughter) and her husband Andreas Stroubakos who visualised the revival of the farm estate while having strong memories of the genuine Zakynthian traditional hospitality.
The family's love for their country and their need to offer the unique sense of the historical Zakynthian mansions of the last century led the Kouros descendants to the creation of the distinguished group of traditional country houses on the farm.
The construction began with the selections of stone from the mountainous villages of 'Kiliomenos' and 'Ag. Leon ' which was perfectly carved by local craftsmen who preserved the traditional architecture of the island. The combination of stone and wood in its natural condition is remarkable. Ceilings made of wooden logs, antiquated wooden doors; stone bricks from local kilns and forged iron were all worked on wisely by old Zakynthian workmen. All natural materials were used to preserve and treat the environment respectfully.
