The whole of the coastline consists of sandy beaches, with many to choose from and close by is the famous Gerakas National Sea Park of Zakynthos where the loggerhead sea-turtle Caretta-Caretta nests and lays its eggs. If you are lucky you will swim with one or you will be able to see the dests where the sea turtles have laud their eggs.
A short three minute stroll takes you to the market place where you will discover many traditional tavernas, super market, swimming pool , bakery and all other amenities.
